FAQs

Disciple Groups are where spiritual growth happens together. As you connect with other followers of Jesus, you'll grow in God's Word, build meaningful relationships, and learn to become a disciple-making disciple. Groups meet in homes, businesses, campuses, and throughout the community to study Scripture, pray, and encourage one another as they follow Jesus.

You do not have to attend Unco Church to join a Disciple Group. Our desire is that these groups would complement your relationship with Jesus, not replace your involvement in a local church. We encourage everyone to be connected to a Bible-believing church in their community while joining a Disciple Group for additional discipleship and community.

We offer men's, women's, mixed, Young Adults (18-28 years of age) groups. No matter your stage of life or where you are in your relationship with Jesus, there's a place for you. We believe spiritual growth happens best in community, where people can encourage one another, grow in God's Word, and become disciple-making disciples together.

Childcare options vary from group to group. While some Disciple Groups provide childcare, others may not. Be sure to check the details of each group to see what childcare options are available.

Disciple Groups are designed to create consistent opportunities for spiritual growth and community. Most groups meet weekly during our 10-week Fall, Winter, and Spring semesters, while some groups continue gathering year-round to foster ongoing discipleship and relationships.

We believe there's a Disciple Group for everyone. While not every group will be the right fit for every person, we encourage you to attend at least three meetings before deciding. Building relationships takes time, and one visit may not provide a complete picture of the group. If after three gatherings you still don't feel connected or positioned to grow, we'd be happy to help you find a group that's a better fit.
